Method
- Preheat the oven to 220C
- Peel the potatoes and slice thinly by hand or with the slicer attachment of a food processor.
- Arrange half the potatoes in layers in the dish.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper and pour in half the cream.
- Arrange the remaining potatoes in layers and top with salt, pepper and remaining cream Sprinkle with cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and cook for a further 30 - 40 minutes until golden and tender.
Cooking time 1hr 15 minutes
